Test & Verification

Testing & Certification

Pitot-static and transponder testing, avionics troubleshooting and system verification — against reference standards, with documented results.

Overview

Testing is a procedure, not an opinion

A test is only worth what its reference standard is worth. Our test equipment is calibrated, the procedure is followed the same way every time, and the results are written down — because the result is the deliverable, not the impression that things seemed fine.

Testing can be done at our facility or at the aircraft. For fleets, on-site testing usually removes far more downtime than it costs.

What You Get

How we approach it.

Four things that shape the work, and that you can hold us to on any job.

  • 01

    Calibrated references

Every measurement traces back to equipment with a current calibration.

  • 02

    On-site capability

Testing brought to the aircraft or the fleet where that is the faster option.

  • 03

    Fault isolation included

When a test fails we help find out why, rather than handing back a failed sheet.

  • 04

    Records you can file

Results documented clearly enough to go straight into the aircraft records.

Components

What this covers,

Jump straight to the family your unit belongs to — each page lists the equipment and the faults we see most.

Process

How the work runs

Every job follows the same four steps, so you always know which stage yours is at.

  1. 01

    Scope & scheduling

Confirm which tests are required, on which aircraft, and where the work will happen.

  2. 02

    Setup & connection

Test equipment connected to the aircraft under the correct procedure and precautions.

  3. 03

    Test & measure

Testing carried out across the required range, with any discrepancy investigated.

  4. 04

    Document & release

Results recorded, discrepancies reported, and paperwork completed for the aircraft records.

Scope

What we test

Not an exhaustive list. If your unit is not here, send the part number anyway.

Pitot-Static Systems
Altimeter, airspeed and encoder verification, and leak checks.
Transponders
Transponder function and altitude reporting.
Air Data
Air data computers and associated instrumentation.
Avionics Systems
Communication, navigation and integrated system function checks.
Fleet Programmes
Repeat testing across multiple aircraft on a coordinated schedule.

Common Questions

Asked before
most enquiries.

Can testing be done at the aircraft?
Yes. For a single aircraft either works; for a fleet, on-site testing usually removes far more downtime than it costs, because no airframe has to be cycled through a shop.
What happens if something fails the test?
We help find out why. A failed test sheet handed back without investigation is not a useful deliverable — fault isolation is part of the work, and any discrepancy is reported with the detail needed to act on it.
Will I get documentation for the aircraft records?
Always. Results are recorded clearly enough to go straight into the records, because the documented result is the deliverable, not the impression that things seemed fine.

Next Step

Need testing & certification?
Tell us the aircraft.

Send the aircraft type, the symptom and the part number if you have it. We will come back with the realistic options.
